Dolphin Space Programme? What is it? The Dolphin Space Programme (DSP for short) is an innovative, co-operative approach to sustainable wildlife tourism, and was launched on World Oceans Day, 8 June 1995. Boat operators who join the Dolphin Space Programme accreditation scheme have agreed to follow an approved code of conduct aimed at minimising disturbance to the dolphins. Look out for the distinctive logo and a current certificate or plaque! Accredited operators should conduct cruises of high quality and low environmental impact and passengers will be offered an enjoyable experience taking in the natural beauty and rich diversity of wildlife found in the Moray Firth. Ask your boat operator about the scheme. For more information on the Dolphin Space Programme or for help planning your trip, please go to the dedicated DSP website, www.dolphinspace.org. |
