Get Wild about Scotland - new holidays from National Trust for Scotland
Back
09 January 2004

If you enjoy culture and history, wildlife and ecology or walking and cycling when you’re taking a break, it’s time to ‘Go Wild About Scotland’. The newly launched holiday itineraries from Tourism and Environment Forum member, The National Trust for Scotland, in association with JAC Travel, Wild Outdoors, and Alba Travel and Promotions. These new holidays offer visitors a new and interactive way to experience the country, plus the hands on experience of making local craft products.

The holiday options, are all based around six night itineraries for individuals or groups of up to twelve. They are ideal for bird enthusiasts, culture vultures who love castles and ecology, and keen walkers and wildlife fanatics who will enjoy the mountains and Big Tree Country of Perthshire.

Geraldine Graf, Head of Holidays for The National Trust for Scotland said: "We are delighted to announce our partnership with JAC Travel and welcome the opportunity to work with other tour operators in this way to provide new and innovative ways for tourists to experience the delights of Scotland. This range of holiday itineraries gives visitors the opportunity to see some of the lesser known but fascinating aspects of the Scottish countryside.

"Scotland is steeped in heritage and the idea is to show people a different side to the country through its abundant plants, wildlife and hidden crafts, giving them a chance to learn more about our heritage and master some traditional crafts."
