VisitScotland is now calling for entries to the 2005 Scottish Thistle Awards, the tourist industry's highest accolade! Of particular interest is the 'Tourism & Environment' award which recognises businesses that demonstrate a commitment to Scotland's natural heritage. 

Sponsored by Scottish Natural heritage, businesses  will be judged on how they raise awareness and understanding about the natural heritage with their staff, how they take a proactive approach in imparting this knowledge to the customer and how they meet the needs of their guests in relation to Scotland's natural heritage. 

Increasingly Scotland's natural heritage, landscape and habitats are being recognised as a key asset for the tourism industry and one that sets Scotland apart from other destinations.  Through recognition at the Thistle awards, businesses can set themselves apart.  The Thistle awards have been rewarding excellence and quality in the industry for over ten years, and businesses the length and breadth of Scotland can testify to the benefits of being an award winner.

Closing date for entries is the 2nd June.
